Ventilated Brake Rotors

Ventilated brake rotors feature internal cooling vanes that act like a centrifugal pump. During heavy braking—especially when operating a UTV in mud, sand, or at high speeds—brake temperatures rise rapidly. The internal ventilation efficiently dissipates heat, preventing brake pad overheating, brake fluid boil-over, and, most importantly, brake fade. As a result, braking performance remains consistent and predictable from the first braking event to the last.

Floating Rotor Design

In a floating rotor, the friction ring is connected to the hub through floating mounting hardware rather than being rigidly fixed. As temperatures increase, the rotor expands evenly without warping or distortion.

This provides several key advantages:

Reduced or eliminated pedal pulsation and brake vibration
Perfectly even pad-to-rotor contact
Maximum contact area between the pad and rotor surface
Increased service life of both pads and rotors

6-Piston Front Calipers

During braking, the front axle handles approximately 60–80% of the total braking load. This is especially true for rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive UTVs, where weight transfers forward under deceleration.

The six-piston design applies clamping force evenly across a larger brake pad surface, ensuring uniform pressure distribution without taper wear or uneven loading.
